At Musiikkitoteemi Music School, we offer a variety of exciting early childhood music classes tailored to each child’s unique qualities and interests. Our classes are organized into five main categories, within which you will find detailed descriptions of each group.
In traditional muskari groups begin building a lifelong relationship with music from an early age. In themed muskari groups we emphasize special themes tailored to children’s diverse interests, including movement activities, storytelling, rhythm exercises, and band playing — with a new English-language class starting soon: a World Music Playschool (4–6). In instrumental playschool children explore their chosen instrument both individually and in groups, making music through playful activities.
In preparatory instrument lessons a child can learn the basics of their chosen instrument in a small group, while on the instrument carousel the child can try several different instruments in one-on-one sessions with the teacher. Both options aim to bring the instruments a step closer to the child before possibly progressing to individual lessons.
